Our Primary reserach interest revolves around the "Development of Green Organometallic Reagents and their applications to organic Synthesis. We embarked upon the development of Cross-couplings employing triarylbismuths as 3-fold coupling reagents in one-pot operation with sub-stoichiometric loadings. In this journey, we developed a new series of coupling reactions using triarylbismuth reagents with elaborate range of reactivity under palladium catalysis. These new couplings are blessed with higher atom-economy, faster reactivity and in general, with high yields.
Our research group also has interest in areas such as convergent organic synthesis, microwave-medaited synthesis, combined catalysis, organocatalysis, metal-carbenes and other areas of contemporary interest.
